But why unprivileged user can send a multiple attachment by mail box? I
understand that sending several attachments from the mailbox works even for
the unprivileged user but it's just not added to the user interface, right?

It works but only when unpriviliged user make new ticket by sending email.

It's realy impossible to add button "Add more files" for unprivileged users
in RT v4.0.4 because at this moment i can't upgrade RT to v4.2

[rt-users] Slow RT after moving DB on another server

Hi



A few days ago i moved my RT (v4.0.4) database (MySQL) to another server.
Of course

I introduced relevant configuration indicating where the base is located.
From

that moment to log on to the program is a big problem. And when you will

succeed it works very slowly.



The logs do not have anything specific on this topic. Do you have any idea
how

to check what could be wrong?

First of all. It is possible to change date format in standart report in RT
.tsv file (1 in attachment) for columns: Told, Created, LastUpdated to look
like "-mm-dd hh:mm:ss"? Because now is "day dd mm , hh:mm:ss" or "2
days ago", "1 hour ago".

I just install SearchResults::XLS Extension and data format in the reports
is good but I get a few another problems:
-I have two path to generate report standard one kanały->arkusz
kalkulacyjny (1 in attachment)  and XLS from extension (2 in attachment),
better is to have it in one place like in 1 way in attachment.

- when I create a report, file which i get from kanały->arkusz kalkulacyjny
(1 in attachment) is .tsv when I configure to use UTF-8 it's look nice but
for XLS (2 in attachment),column headers are in English not Polish. And
additionally I have less columns than in the previous 1 way, altrought I
pointed out all of the columns to display in the report.

I got a task to update RT and MediaWiki to possible newest version.
It’s a little old release: RT 3.6.7 and MW 1.6.10  stands on Red Hat 4
ES.

I read UPGRADING-3.6 /3.8/4.0, UPGRADING.mysql, README and a few posts
about it. But I don’t have experience in doing backups, so I wanna ask
more experienced user, what solution you advise?
-   Install all on new system for example Red Hat 6.3 x86_64
-   Or upgrade RT and MW on the old machine

If somebody have some description how to make succes update,
step-by-step or something . I will be very appreciate.

I have instance RT 4.0.4 on CentOS 6. With CAS to implement SSO on a
few applications and LDAP which stands on AD Win Ser 2008.

And now I need to adjust RT to the overall method of closing the user
session for the entire system (all subsystems/applications).

I wanna ask. Is it possible to obtain the url that returns up to a
small page or other static resource, which download will maintain the
current logged-on user session?

Specific requirements:
- Attempt to access a resource, should not create a new session if
this is not yet
- If the session exists, the attempt to access the resource will cause
the session will be extended

Sample tests for java web application running on JBoss AS 7.1 shows
that it can be any resource such as a static image. But I don’t know
how it works in perl applications like RT

If you have some thoughts or ideas, I will be very grateful

I make some changes in my configuration and it seems that working
fine, but I noticed one interesting thing. I have HTTPS on login page
but when I login into RT that changes to HTTP.

Any ideas why something like this is happening?

[rt-users] RT 4 Translation problem

Hi everybody,

I wanna translate a few english names to polish and it goes quite
good. But i have problem to translate words from
user->settings->seaved searches->My Tickets, Unowned Tickets and
Bookmarket Tickets. I found one of them in right file with polish
translation share/po/pl.po and put there polish words:
msgid "My Tickets"
msgstr "Moje zgłoszenia"
But it doesn't change anything. Other two names i can't even find in this file.

Maybe somebody knows how to change this words. I really appreciate any help

groups and users form LDAP I used LDAPImport. And almost everything
works fine but I have problem with Unprivileged users. For example I
wanna set up mapping for 3 groups from LDAP:  external (users who can
only write ticket and check status of them),  internal (users who
manage tickets from external users and other stuff) and admin. I want
this grups in RT, and it’s not problem to make configuration for
internal and admin groups but for all 3 grups it’s not that easy (at
least for me ). I think the best configuration for external users is
to be Unprivileged because this is the simplest way to close that
group in some place. This group only need to login, make ticket and
check status

The question is, it’s possible to resolve problem with Privileged
(internal, admin) and Unprivileged (external) groups of users using
some steps or changing configuration? To send 2 groups with Privileged
users and others with Unprivileged users?
