[rt-users] Missing dependencies in RT3.8.1?

2008-09-03 Thread Paul Goffin
I've just done a fresh install of 3.8.1 and found the graphing functions
didn't work.

make testdeps of our old version, 3.6.6 indicated various GD packages were
necessary but 3.8.1 does not do this.

Manually installing the GD packages indicated by 3.6.6 fixed the graphs.

[rt-users] Anyone looked at a ShowUsers patch?

2008-02-14 Thread Paul Goffin
I understand that the right to modify users shouldn't be given to anyone
but sysadmins, but being able to see user details is something we'd find
pretty useful.

Has anyone found a way to implement a "ShowUsers" right or something
similar?

I don't know what the problem was but everything seems to be working now.

I guess it was finger trouble.

[rt-users] Is RTFM compatible with RT 3.6.6?

2008-02-06 Thread Paul Goffin
I've just tried to install RTFM 2.2.1 into a fresh RT 3.6.6 installation
and everything seemed to work except it doesn't seem to have had any
effect on the 3.6.6 system.

There are no new menu options, no configuration options.

RT 3.6.x doesn't have the sidebar navigation which is how the RTFM manual
(dated 2003) says you access RTFM.

Are the two compatible? If not, what version of RT should be used with
RTFM?

[rt-users] AdminUsers in 3.6.3/4?

2007-09-07 Thread Paul Goffin
I'm having trouble getting the permissions right for my helpddesk
operators to be able
to see & update User information.

I thought granting them the AdminUsers right would be enough but it
doesn't appear
to have any effect.

The SuperUser can modify User information but that seems to be the only
permission that works.

What rights do I need to set or is this a Bug in 3.6.3 & 3.6.4?

(As an aside, the Rights table in the Wiki
http://wiki.bestpractical.com/view/ManualRights
doesn't render as a table. I tried to edit it a few times but wasn't able
to correct it.
Anyone know what's wrong?)

[rt-users] Attachments - size limitations?

2007-08-20 Thread Paul Goffin
Hi,

I'm having problems with my Fedora 7, RT 3.6.3 system and large
attachments.

I've increased the max_allowed_packet value for mysql and I can now
receive very
large emails (>6MB) without attachments or normal emails with attachments
of
a few 10s of K but larger attachments don't make it - I get EX_TEMPFAIL
from rt-mailgate.

Running rt-mailgate manually doesn't get me any extra information.

Any ideas?

[rt-users] More About Requestor

2007-08-03 Thread Paul Goffin
My RT 3.6.3 system is up and running but it appears to be missing a
feature that was available on 3.4.x systems.

When viewing a ticket, there used to be a panel on the page called "More
About " which displayed other open tickets created by that
requestor.

It's vanished on 3.6.3.

How do I get it back?

Re: [rt-users] Configuring Apache for RT

2007-08-02 Thread Paul Goffin
I've just been trying to set up RT on Fedora 7 and hit the same problem
reported in the list.

I've found that if I make my document root /usr/share/rt3/html then RT
works.

If not - i.e., if I leave my root at /var/www/html and put in a link to
/usr/share/rt3/html, I get the error
message about mod_perl, etc.

Any ideas?

Paul.
