Cloud Solution Architect

Description:
Develops and achieves discipline strategy in alignment with functional goals
and key business objectives. Collaborates with experts within function to
integrate technical objectives into activities associated with accelerated
development of new/improved products or technology.
Advances technical expertise within function. Proactively demonstrates leadership
by advising and sharing knowledge and expert opinions with subordinates, peers,
and senior management. Mentors and trains functional colleagues and assesses
current and emerging business challenges enabling functional goal achievement.
Ensures quality and effectiveness of major project plans within function
through sound design, early risk assessments, and implementation of fallback
strategies.
Sources and identifies emerging scientific and technological trends from
multiple internal and external sources and assess relevance. Integrates trends
into functional short-term objectives. Advances crossdiscipline
technology and direction through generation of data.
Applies imagination and innovation by creating, inventing, and implementing
new or better approaches, alternatives and breakthrough ideas that are valued
by customers within the function.
Shapes relationships with affiliates, subsidiaries, vendors, and industry
peers in accordance with Pharmaceutical client Values, Vendor Management Office,
and Purchasing to further the mission, vision and goals of the organization.
Responsible for adherence to corporate standards regarding applicable
Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP
compliance, and data security.
Top 3-5 must have skills
Highly proficient in cloud architecture and engineering with core components
- compute, networking, storage, and security.
Demonstrated experience assessing application architectures for cloud fit
Ability to document systems architecture.
Ability to communicate solutions to audiences of varying technical depth.
Agile/DevOps skills
Top 3-5 Nice to have Skills
Low to moderate proficiency with designing HPC solutions.
Low to moderate proficiency with designing Big Data solutions.
Technical background in healthcare, laboratory diagnostics, medical devices,
or pharmaceutical companies
Experience with cloud native services, particularly AWS, secondary
Azure
Experience with Infrastructure
as Code architectures
Reason for opening?

Collaborate with Cloud Engineering teams to clear backlog and move through
business needs.
3 6 months to start with option to extend. Opportunity to convert to

Years of experience needed
Senior resource targeted, 3-5 yrs of hands-on experience architecting and
implementing solutions with a cloud provider (AWS or Azure preferred).
Work Schedule
M-F, 40 hrs per week. No overtime.

Interview Process
Phone/Video interview 1 panel interview (30-45 minutes) for technical and
behavioral assessment.
