yes, b/c I think, while under scrutiny at time for some of the play calling, this coaching staff had a MESS to correct; not only was talent short these guys had been *programmed* to loose...I think it is a start in the right direction. Now, if we are still 6-5 next year, I may not be as happy...but I am very proud of this team and the coaches...I am die-hard and while I may not be ecstatic at times, I will ALWAYS LOVE THE TIDE!! Ditto what Devonna said. Look at the quagmire that was Alabama football last November. Coach Fran has made tremendous improvement. In all honesty, the team outplayed South Carolina and Ole Piss yet found a way to lose those games. Throw those into the mix and Coach Fran would be standing at 8-3 in his inaugural year. That being said, word on the skreet has 'Bama playing in Nashville. 'My sources' report the Music City said before the USM game they'd take Bama if they won - thus leaving Ole Piss at home. Think about it. I am proud of the way this team has developed...but I still wish they coulda done it right the first time!! I remember quite well when they were calling for Coach Bryant's head when he went 7-5.but...all that said...its heaven compared to last year!! I agree but, I say the team sure has responded to Zow much better, as far as leadership goes. Last night really showed how much Heart he has. I really thought he was going to be our starting QB since, all the A game reports of him being the clear favorite. He really has shown himself to be a class act. I hope someone takes a chance in the NFL on him. So yes, I'm very happy with where we are after last night's win. As far as a bowl, things will really have to work against us for us not to go somewhere. Hopefully the Music City Bowl is in our future, as sitting in Arkadelphia two day after Christmas would be alright! I thought last night's ESPN 2's extended coverage was very upbeat and positive for BAMA. I was pleasantly surprised with the three amigos (Herbstreet, Corso Tarico) praise for the job Coach Fran has done and the overall direction of the program. Great job by the offensive line and by the receivers blocking downfield in the second half. Roll Tide! Let's remember, Coach Stallings was 7-5 his first year and 2 years later we were National Champs, and Curry (barf) was also 7-5 and had a chance for the NC in '89.
