[rules-users] Need clarifications on business rules
Hello, I have a requirement to migrate some business rules from WebSphere Process Server (WPS) to the equivalent product of JBoss . The current functionality implemented on WPS is 1. Execute appropriate conditions like if-else and decision tables based on the content in the request message 2. The business rules can invoke an internal/external SOAP/HTTP web service based on the rule logic 3. The business rules can invoke an email adapter which in turn fires emails as needed 4. Eventually expose the business rules to external world as a SOAP/HTTP web service. This enables clients to invoke the business rules from a remote machine via SOAP/HTTP. There are many products in JBoss suite like JBos Rules, JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform, JBoss Enterprise BRMS, JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite etc. Could anyone please suggest me what is the right product in JBoss suite using which I can build the same logic that I have built on WPS? [rules-users] Expose JBoss rules as webservice
Hello, I am developing a java based stand alone logger framework to plug in to my integration applications. After logging the messages, the framework need to forward the message to a notification service (a Java based SOAP/HTTP web service) . The business logic of this notification service now needs to be implemented using JBoss Business Rules Management System. Since my integration applications run on WebSphere server, I would be using the WebSphere SOAP engine for logger framework to invoke the notification web service. I am new to the JBoss suite of integration products. Could you please help me with the below 1. To build some rules, say if-else or decision tables, is JBoss BRMS alone sufficient? 2. Once the business rules are developed, is there a way to expose these rules as a SOAP/HTTP web service? 3. What are the set of products needed to develop and deploy this rule service as a SOAP/HTTP web service? I assume it is JBoss BRMS and JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform.
