How long did each build take?  I.e., what's the
end of install.log say in each case?  For example,
a clean build on sage.math (done with
'export MAKE=make -j32') says this:

real67m38.209s
user70m43.177s
sys 17m7.108s
To install gap, gp, singular, etc., scripts
in a standard bin directory, start sage and
type something like
   sage: install_scripts('/usr/local/bin')
at the SAGE command prompt.
