Yes. Or .sage/matplotlibrc. If you haven't explicitly changed any settings, then it should be safe to just delete .sage/matplotlibrc. The problem is that the matplotlibrc is using settings from an old version of matplotlib. We now use just the defaults, so it is fine to not have the file.
