Did this get kicked out to the mirrors?

Nine hours on, and no luck at MIT nor Simon Fraser. But perhaps I'm just
impatient.

Samuel, thank you so much for taking the time to very accurately describe
all this. I would love for a more stable solution to happen, but we are
going to have our fat fried for us is this is the standard operating
policy, because our (Sage download, not SMC) clientele is not the same as
those running Linux servers or running software-as-a-service.

Here is what he updated the wiki page to say:
"For SageMath 7.0 and higher, most steps should work but the final steps
should be adapted to take into account the new default which is to use the
Jupyter notebook.

Somemeone please adapt the final steps."

By the way, just because I don't have the time to properly
review http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/19877 (or anything else :-( )doesn't
mean it wouldn't be super-valuable for someone else to do so - this isn't
about any particular argument. I assume that it's a very thoughtful and
comprehensive solution, so anyone who cares about this kind of thing is
highly encouraged to actually test it and see how much content (if any) on
the text side gets lost, what (if any) interact behavior might need extra
help, etc.

Less sarcastically, the automatic conversion thing isn't needed for
the VM, since the filesystem is brand new each time you install.
There's aren't any old files to convert (unless the user explicitly
downloads them and uploads them back).

With sagenb there is a way to click a button and download all
notebooks in a single zip file, which can then be uploaded to another
sagenb.

Does Jupyter have a way to do that? I'm pretty sure it has nothing at
all like that, since with Jupyter it might be *drastically* more
difficult to migrate from one VM to a newer one.I.e., from the VM
for 7.0 to 7.1.

Unfortunately, 1 may be a much worse problem going forward. I don't know.
