On Debian testing running on Core i7 + 16 GB RAM, upgrading from 8.6.rc1 (Python 2) builds and passes ptestlong without any problem whatsoever. On Ubuntu 18.04 running on Xeon E5-2623 + 16 GB RAM, from a fresh git clone, python2 build failed due to a checksum error for ipython_genutils-0.2.0. Running make (-j8) a second time yields the same error + a checksum error for jinja2-2.10. Here is the log (logs/pkgs/ipython_genutils-0.2.0.log): Found local metadata for ipython_genutils-0.2.0 Attempting to download package ipython_genutils-0.2.0.tar.gz from mirrors http://www-ftp.lip6.fr/pub/math/sagemath/spkg/upstream/ipython_genutils/ipython_genutils-0.2.0.tar.gz [..] Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/eric/sage/8.6/build/bin/../sage_bootstrap/download/cmdline.py", line 118, in run_safe run() File "/home/eric/sage/8.6/build/bin/../sage_bootstrap/download/cmdline.py", line 100, in run app.download_tarball(args.url_or_tarball, args.destination) File "/home/eric/sage/8.6/build/bin/../sage_bootstrap/download/app.py", line 43, in download_tarball tarball.download() File "/home/eric/sage/8.6/build/bin/../sage_bootstrap/tarball.py", line 164, in download raise ChecksumError('checksum does not match') ChecksumError: checksum does not match Error downloading ipython_genutils-0.2.0.tar.gz Please email sage-devel (http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel) explaining the problem and including the log file /home/eric/sage/8.6/logs/pkgs/ipython_genutils-0.2.0.log Describe your computer, operating system, etc. Could there be an issue with the mirror www-ftp.lip6.fr ?
