The server seems to be working again. Thanks, whoever, or whatever,
you are.

[sage-support] sagenb appears to be hung

2011-12-11 Thread MichTex
You can get the main page which lists your worksheets, but clicking on
a worksheet produces:

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was
encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

[sage-support] sagenb non-responsive and giving proxy error

2011-11-30 Thread MichTex
I logged into sagenb.org a few minutes ago, and brought up the
worksheet I've been using recently. I didn't really do anything with
it for a few minutes. Finally I came back and tried to evaluate the
cell I have most recently been changing. It never responded. Finally I
tried logging in again, but now I'm getting Proxy Error messages.

[sage-support] Re: sagenb issues

2011-10-26 Thread MichTex
I have been using sagenb without difficulty now for several days. I've
been using it again this morning, but just now I started getting the
'could not connect to www.sagenb.org' message when I tried to save my
worksheet. I tried opening another window to sagenb and got the same
result. After a couple of minutes, the server finally responded to my
first request. I then tried re-running the computation in the last
cell that I had been working on. It did run, although very slowly. I
have tried a couple of other things, and they were all very slow as
well. I don't think it is a connection problem from my end.

[sage-support] sagenb issues

2011-10-20 Thread MichTex
I've been trying to login to sagenb this morning. It took over a
minute for the server to respond when I first went to the login page.
After another long wait, it finally logged in. Then when I clicked on
the link to the worksheet that I wanted, there was a third long wait,
which finally produced a 503 error. Now all attempts to reach the
server simply produce the 'Service Temporarily Unavailable' message. I
know that traffic on sagenb has greatly increased in the last few
weeks, so perhaps the poor machine is maxed out in some way.

2011-09-19 Thread MichTex
William--

In both Chrome and Firefox, all I got was the 'waiting for www.sagenb.org'
kind of indications for more than a minute of waiting. Finally, for
Chrome I got the response:

   Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream
server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /.
Reason: Error reading from remote server

while on my Firefox connection I got the 'Internal Server Error' I got
earlier.

[sage-support] Re: Downtime for *.sagenb.org

2011-09-18 Thread MichTex
William--

There is still some sort of problem. Off and on all day long I have
gotten the message:

   Internal Server Error
An error occurred rendering the requested page. More information is
available in the server log.

It happens sometimes when I try logging in to http://www.sagenb.org/.
Other times I am able to log in, but then within a short time after
having successfully logged in, I get the message again while trying to
bring up a worksheet, or do something on the worksheet. For a while I
thought it had to do with my browser (normally I use Chrome), but then
it happened when I logged in with Firefox, too.

Here's hoping that that the problem isn't something too hard to fix. I
sympathize with you about the disk space issue. It is a chronic
problem on another service that I am responsible for.
