I don't think 7zip is being used anymore. I remember it causing trouble for William's students. Also wasn't the filename extension 7zip in the past and not zip like it is now? Yes. 7zip is not being used and I don't see anything in the directory http://sagemath.org/SAGEbin/microsoft_windows/ to suggest one should use 7zip. Make sure the file you download is 672MB.
