after downloading source tarball, the tarball was extracted and moved into a new directory i created for the build /home/me/sage_build
this is in openSUSE 13.1 btw so after <cd /home/mike/sage_build/sage-6.2> <make> leaves me with the following error: Error building Sage. The following package(s) may have failed to build: The build directory may contain configuration files and other potentially helpful information. WARNING: if you now run 'make' again, the build directory will, by default, be deleted.
