Just some news from Saligao:

In Sonarbhat, we had a 14+ hour power-failure from Saturday evening
around 7.30 pm till just before noon on Sunday! While the rest of the
village seems to be better served by its transformers, ours seems to
be suffering from repeated failures of late!

Mrs Isabella Vaz (Glenn/Noella/Leon/Joey/Vanessa/Warren's mum)
mentioned pointed to an initiative to trap the return-monsoon this
year. So the Sonarbhat fields have a little more water in them (we've
had unseasonal rains) and this could help more water to percolate to
the groundwater table. Oldtimers would remember that the Sonarbhat
fields used to turn into a water catchment area once the monsoon crop
was harvested in the past....
