-Government to lay underground 
power cables at Saligao.
The Bardez coastal belt, including 
Calangute and Saligao, would be given priority in the laying of underground 
power cables in view of the frequent power disruptions here due to the constant 
falling of tree-branches causing overhead power lines to snap. The assurances 
came from the state Government in response to the separate private members’ 
resolution by the Saligao MLA Dr. Wilfred de Souza( Courtesy Navhind Times) 

-The Faces of Goan football fans 
captured during Euro finals between Portugal and Greece by journalist Francis X. 
Ribeiro, from Saligao, at the Calangute Association hall, display a lot of the 
enthusiasm that was generated due to Portugal’s progress during Euro 2004,which 
was followed passionately by Goans.

July.

Parish.
*Meeting of the Laity belonging to the 3rd Order of 
the Franciscans on last Thursday of every month in the evening.Venue: Church 
hall
*Legion of Mary every Monday in 
the Church at 5 p.m. Also at Grande Morod Chapel every Saturday at 4.30p.m.
*Society of St Vincent the Paul, every 
Tuesday evening in the Church 
Premises
*Altar Boys’Association meeting 
every Saturday in the evening., Church Hall
*Parish Pastoral Council once a 
month.in the Church Hall
*Alcoholic Anonymous- very Monday 
evening in the Church Hall.
*Charismatic Meeting every Sunday 
at 5 p.m. in the Church.
*Parish Youth Meeting on 
2nd Sunday of the month at 9.30 a.m .in the Church Hall
*Sunday School in Church at 8.30. 
a.m. every Sunday followed by children’s mass.
*Basic Christian Community( BCC) 
meetings in wards every month.
*Fabrica Meetings at the 
discretion of the President of Fabrica.
