Just to update the list, Ann just confirmed that the version that is currently
on http://www.woodstone.nu/soft/beta/salive7.exe
(http://www.woodstone.nu/soft/beta/salive7.exe) works fine.
We will do a re-release in a few days onto the normal download location/page
too.

Same problem when running Servers Alive on Win2003 server.

I disabled SSL 3 because of Poodle per the notes on

Sometimes Servers Alive reports an issue with the SSL handshake (e.g.
1st test). Sometimes it says that the connection has been aborted by
the network or intermediate services (e.g. subsequent tests).

I guess Servers Alive would have to connect with TLS 1.2.

Anthony,

If you do only  “net view “ it should show you all available
servers.

If the one you are looking for is not present check on it the following:

-firewall settings (try with firewall off)

-file and printer sharing on

-account settings for user connecting (domain admin?)

Regards,

lau

2014-10-23 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
If you get "There are no entries in the list", it means there are no shares on
that system.

If you get "System error 5 has occurred, Access is denied" it means you don't
have the rights to see (read) the shares.
