help!!
Hi Everyone I'm having serious trouble with my email - I'm not sure it's working or not - I've just reinstalled my server and it's not sure who I am Please send a reply Thanks Mick Sleight
Pegasus
Having said that, it doesn't have all the memory leaks that Pegasus does. been using Pegasus for 30 minutes now, and I'm down to checks 49% system resources. Lovely. I remember that at uni, had to restore my Email folders after deleting one. Use communicator, seems OK, but I cannot get the random sigs to work -sigh- Diggory -- /\ /\ / \ / \ /\___/\ | | |. .| | Y | \ \_^_/ / \ / / \ / \ / \ | | Y | | | | | | | | | ^ | \__ \__(...)_(...)___ \ \ | _/ | / __/ \/ Thomas meowcat http://homepages.tesco.net/~Diggory/
Re: Bondi Blue?
Hello :) Got a Bondi Blue now anyway... What on earth is one of these? I'd guess he's talking about an Apple iMac. Yes got it last November I'll never understand where they picked the name Bondi Blue - that colour is clearly green. I guess, looks nice though :) BTW: are you sure you don't mean Blueberry? Unless it really is one of the dead-old 233MHz models... Yes its the older model, not quite the original, got extra graphics card memory :) I put in 128MB SDRAM extra memory to speed things up though. Its OK for web stuff, fast enough for me (runs SimCoupe nicely) Ah, yes question - if I got a disk drive (sore point for iMAC owners), could I retrieve stuff from original SAM disks? Ooo, another: How do I get things like TD0 and others bits to DSK format for SIMCoupe? (No PC handy) Thanks much-ly Diggory -- /\ /\ / \ / \ /\___/\ | | |. .| | Y | \ \_^_/ / \ / / \ / \ / \ | | Y | | | | | | | | | ^ | \__ \__(...)_(...)___ \ \ | _/ | / __/ \/ Thomas meowcat http://homepages.tesco.net/~Diggory/

I don't know about any Mac software which will read Sam's native disk format. You *might* be able to save files using KE_Disk onto a 720K FAT (PC) floppy disk, and read those - that's what I usually do. BUT I've heard reports that the USB SuperDrive will not read Double-density disks. Then again, I've heard reports that that only applies to Mac DD disks and that PC DD disks are okay.[1] So try before you buy. Ooo, another: How do I get things like TD0 and others bits to DSK format for SIMCoupe? (No PC handy) Tricky. TD0 files are almost dead in the water - most PCs can't read those either, these days. For other files, I have a program (quickly hacked together in C, most of which should be totally cross-platform except calling the Open and Save dialogue boxes) which can transfer files to and from a .dsk image. I guess I should upload it to mnemotech.ucam.org or somewhere... Andrew [1] Which would make a certain amount of sense, because Mac DD disks use a weird position-dependant sector size which has to be supported in hardware, wheras Mac HD disks do not,and PC disks do not. PS. You have a very nice cat, but might I draw your attention to that fact that sig files, by convention, are limited to four lines... /\ /\ / \ / \ /\___/\ | | |. .| | Y | \ \_^_/ / \ / / \ / \ / \ | | Y | | | | | | | | | ^ | \__ \__(...)_(...)___ \ \ | _/ | / __/ \/ -- -- Andrew Collier ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) --My other -- http://mnemotech.ucam.org -- .sig is a -- Part 3 Materials Science, Cambridge -- PDF file --
