Re: New project - 2MB ram + 512kB flash rom
After many years, experiments, variants and proposals, it seems that this cheap interface with only two chips (memory and CPLD) will be put into the production. :-) With a little bit of imagination, we would think of this board: - 2 MB external RAM, one-meg compatible, with readable ports - or 1 MB RAM and 512 KB KB external ROM - plus 512 KB of the divIDE memory model - DivIDE memory paging model by 8 KB (also for ext. ROM, please) - ram pages backups (256 KB or 512 KB standard memory snapshots) - memory setup through a NMI menu (similar to the "speccyal" PROFI interface) - Speccy 128K RAM paging (a small modification on the Coupe´s motherboard is needed) - NMI button (jump to the menu) - external ROM ON/OFF button (system start with a modified ROM, ZX ROM or a special program/menu) - SD card slot (standard size, please) - size of the smallest old FAMICOM cartridges (hence a case is available) Some space still left on the board? What about to add 3 D/A converters (8bit stereo - 16 bit mono, or any other 6 channels equivalent) and to set (change) output ports through a NMI menu, in order to achieve both EDDAC and (partial) Surround compatibility? Re: missing ProDos games
Hi, Chris, >> It might be worth getting in touch with Steve Hm, I sent him a message... without any reply. >> New version of Pro-DOS (v2.0) coming soon... ;-) Awesome! Have you a mind to support up to 4 CF-slots in the AtomLite+ (e.g. slot per CP/M drive?) http://img4.rajce.idnes.cz/d0406/8/8912/8912936_ee0ae33197d091a1cc1dcff8fe3b0fdd/images/IMG_1483.jpg?ver=2 Regards Josef
Re: missing ProDos games
Also the file "HiSoft-Devpac80(Gens-2-06-Mons-1-05)" seems to be invalid. I think files are cut (a bad upload?) and have an incorrect length. I recovered both adventure files from Amstrad disks stored at the norwegian FTP. > It does appear they are corrupt in some way. > Chris.
missing ProDos games
Hi, the zip archives Deadline and CutThroats, at http://www.samcoupe-pro-dos.co.uk/cpm_images.html seem to be invalid. Could anybody upload the working copies, please? Thanks. Josef
Re: SAM Coupe at Bytefest
58 people were registrated, with their computers. I forgot the English infolink (also to photos from previous meetings): http://www.bytefest.org/english-info2/ >Looks like a great meet! Love those old Osbournes! :-)
SAM Coupe at Bytefest
Here is the link to photos from the Bytefest (retrocomputer) meeting took place last weekend in Prague. http://oldsoft.rajce.idnes.cz/Bytefest_2013 At least three Coupes were at the place. Two photos show my discless machine, with four CF slots. The Coupes gained more popularity in last months because the Velesoft's currently new developed CPLD-ZX-Spectrum-Clone platform has much in common with the Coupe. Also a new SAA interface, for the PMD-85 computer, was developed. As in the case of russians and polish SAA boards for the ZX Spectrum, many, if not all, SAM tunes were transfered to the new platform. Here is a new tracker in development http://sourceforge.net/projects/mif85tracker/ And big thanks to Colin for the Surround. It is the most attractive Coupe's add-on.
Speccy game Krunel
It is "SPECCYfic", uses the SAA soundchip and (according to comments of Velesoft) was published also in the SAD format. INFO + DISK: http://www.speccy.pl/archive/prod.php?id=245 http://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/showpost.php?p=726742&postcount=7
keyboard codes map

DOT command in BDOSv1.5 ?
Hi, has anybody dealt with the DOT command in BDOS? I think it is still available in versions for AL+ and Trinity interfaces, but I failed to make it work. Josef
ready for Python 3? Re: pyz80 with Notepad++ integration
Thanks to everybody for help, and sorry for my dealing with posts in a FIFO mode. Howard´s solution is pretty complex and does the job. Andrew, did you make the PYZ80 work with the new Python 3, with any script? (I started with the Python in the latest version from scratch...) RE: pyz80 with Notepad++ integration
Hi, thanks. NppExec is a quite complex and should work. Although many other editors like the CodePAD, CONTEXT, PSPAD have the same functionality, the NPPP seems to have very userfriendly menu. I will put correct working settings of editors with screenshots to my webpage sam.speccy.cz, if anyone is interested... To be honest, JamAsm was my choice some years ago, but I failed with obtaining a simple raw binary (object code) on the MGT image (a strange loader appears). And also my small and slow mini-itx PCs with passive coolings hate all Java pre-interpreted things :-) Josef __ > Od: Stefan Drissen > Komu: > Datum: 06.10.2013 22:31 > Předmět: RE: pyz80 with Notepad++ integration > >1. get the NppExec plugin - it provides an output console and (just installed >it so not sure) allows you to do something with the resulting file >2. there seems to be an issue with pyz80 and qualified input file names - as >soon as you try to run python pyz80.py c:\source.s it chokes (also from the >command line) with: > >Process started >>> >pass 1 ... >Traceback (most recent call last): > File "D:/Users/Public/Documents/pyz80/pyz80", line 1835, in >assembler_pass(p, inputfile) > File "D:/Users/Public/Documents/pyz80/pyz80", line 1678, in assembler_pass >if global_currentfile.startswith(this_currentfilename+":") and > int(global_currentfile.split(':',1)[1]) != consider_linenumber: >ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: >'/Users/public/Documents/specpang.s:0' ><<< Process finished. pyz80 with Notepad++ integration
Hi, please help me with the idea how to integrate pyz80 into the Notepad++ (Win7). I tried many forms of the Notepad++´s Menu Run, from the simple sentence... PYTHON PYZ80.PY source.s (which works in the CMD line) ... to ... c:\python25\python c:\python25\pyz80.py "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)" ... or ... cmd /c c: && cd python25 && python pyz80.py "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)" || pause Also created a BAT file in order to have the "RUN" sentence as short as possible... And yes, I have set the system PATH variable in Windows 7 for the the PYTHON25 directory and copy the file pyz80 into it. Thanks Josef
