I am with a problem in the hour to make the connection with the samba
and ldap, in the hour to carry through the sharing, the same says that

[Samba] probleman on transference win98

I am using debian with the samba 3.0.14a-Debian and am having problems
with the trasnference of archives of the Windows 98. The names of the
archives are in capital letters and when it enters in the samba the
archive arrives of very small form. In the smb.conf exist this line:

default case = lower
preserve case = yes
short preserve case = yes

[Samba] group on the smbldap-tools

Staff,
I am using the FreeBSD as PDC, is everything installed, ldap, samba and
smbldap-tools.  The problem is that when I go to add one users, as the
example below, has the following problem:

#smbldap-useradd -m -g 512 -G 1000 -c "John doe" -a john-doe
someone/usr/local/sbin/smbldap-useradd:  unknown group 512


But, group 512 exists is is the domain administrators, some tip?

It would like to change one with the gentlemen.  It makes one year
that I have the samba functioning with ldap (PDC), but yesterday I had
a problem and still I did not find a possible solution for the
problem, in mine log I have the following message:

In the smb.conf add entry ldap admin dn =
cn=Manager,dc=auroraalimentos,dc=com,dc=br. After adding password of
admin LDAP:
#smbpasswd -w passwd

in secrets.tdb
In moment adding machine in the PDC, it appears in log's:

I am configuring the samba to be the PDC of my net using LDAP
(OpenLDAP), following the documentation of
http://www.idealx.org/prj/samba/smbldap-howto.en.html. Good to carry
through the test I am using one windows XP. At the moment that I go to
mapaear the unit of the server in windows I obtain to thus validate in a
good using o and password in ldap liberating the sharing of the samba.
But when I try to logar the same in the domain using using and password
that is in the base ldap it says me: Denied Access. This I do not know
because. Perhaps the colleagues of the list already had passed therefore
can give one to me help.
