[Samba] protocol negotiation failed
Hello guys, I have got my samba server as PDC run and it worked well. I could see the machine in a windows explorer and the linux/samba users could login into the windows. Now, suddenly, I can't see samba server in windows explorer any more, but linux users can still log into the windows machines. I can ping from the samba server and it works. When I run #smbclient -L localhost I get the error: protocol negotiation failed As I am new to Samba, would appreciate, if someone could help me. [Samba] Samba doesn't show in Windows

[Samba] unix sync problem
Hi Samba Folks, When I comment out the following line unix password sync = yes from my smb.conf. I get the following error: Error: the 'passwd program' (/usr/bin/passwd %u) requires a '%u' parameter. When I comment the above line, I get no error, although passwd program /usr/bin/passwd %u exists in the smb.conf. [Samba] (/usr/bin/passwd %u) requires a '%u' parameter
Hello, When I configuring samba 3.0.8 as a PDC. When I run the testparm command, I get the error: Error: the 'passwd program' (/usr/bin/passwd %u) requires a '%u' parameter. I have tried to find a solution for this problem and knew, it is a bug. If it is a bug, how can I solve this problem? Hello, I am configuring samba the first time as PDC so that a user can login on different pcs with the same password. To do this, I have configured smb.conf as follows. I'd appreciate, if someone could see, if the file is complete to run samba as a PDC.
