[Samba] Client Oplock Requests

Are Mac OS X and/or Linux SMB clients capable of requesting oplocks?   
Can you please point me to a reference for how to enable this on the  
client?

It's already in the client libraries, the standard cli_open()
function just needs to be changed under the covers. It's actually
not that difficult to do.

In smbclient ?  Not currently.  The last time I looked
A month or so ago, the SMBOpen was still hard coded.
There was an NTcreate&X test in there somewhere but
it is not used for actually reading/writing files.
