[Samba] Cannot save profile of a windows 7 user.
Hi, I have a strange problem. When I log on with USERNAME1 on Windows7 part of a domain, a Windows profile is created. When I do the same with USERNAME2, the profile is not saved on the PC... The default profile is always used when USERNAME2 connects. The same problem occurs on other PC with USERNAME2. How to solve that? [Samba] Samba3 and admin users
Hi to all, We did an upgrade of samba. Now, we use samba3. Previously, the smb.conf was configured like that: [global] ... admin users = @somepeople ... This would not be possible with samba3. [Samba] Samba / Windows XP
Hi, I have a problem with a PC (OS: Windows XP) and Samba. Windows XP client can join Samba (2.21) Domains without an error message. I create Unix and Samba machine account for the new client like this: useradd -g machines -c windows xp workstation -d /dev/null -s /bin/false -m PCWINXP$ smbpasswd -a -m PCWINXP$ I modify the XP registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\netlogon\parameters RequireSignOrSeal=dword: When I try to logon into the Samba Domain, I have an error message: Windows cannot connect to the domain either because the domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable or because your computer account was not found. What can I do?
