Is is possible that you have a zero instead of the letter
"O" in the display charset setting? You might try to change

display charset = IS0-8859-15

to

display charset = ISO-8859-15

For some reason you're probably missing some locale package.

init_iconv: Conversion from UTF8 to IS0-8859-15 not supported
init_iconv: Attempting to replace with conversion from ASCII to ASCII
init_iconv: Conversion from IS0-8859-15 to UTF-16LE not supported
init_iconv: Attempting to replace with conversion from ASCII to UTF-16LE
init_iconv: Conversion from IS0-8859-15 to UTF8 not supported
init_iconv: Attempting to replace with conversion from ASCII to ASCII
init_iconv: Conversion from IS0-8859-15 to CP850 not supported
etc.

Someone has an idea?

It seems to be a known issue, doesn'it?

[Samba] charset conversion

2004-10-15 Thread Michal =?ISO-8859-2?Q?K=F8ivka
Hi,
Is there sombody, who can explain me, how charsets conversions are working
in Samba 3.0.7?

I have Mandrake 10.1box with Samba 3.0.7.
When is W2k box accessed, I can see czech chars as:
1.) on plain install: as number, beginning with :
2.) after mounting with iocharset=utf8,codepage=852, that czech chars are
converted to one char. It seems, that chars are taken as 852 CP chars and
converted to utf8 correctly. Problem is, that win box uses cp1250.
All my test with codepage=1250, codepagećp1250 ans so on were not
successfull.

What is wrong?
Thanks Mike

[Samba] Charset conversion

2004-05-13 Thread Laurent Caron
Hi,
I recently migrated a samba server but forgot to use the charset option
to ISO-8859-1.

Is there a shell script (I have seen one months ago) to translate those
characters to ISO-8859-1 ?

Thanks
