[Samba] Logon hours problem

2012-10-25 Thread Natália Vaz
Hi there.

I had a problem with logon hours after the daylight saving time update. The
users can't login on the network until 8 o'clock, but the time is set to
permit login since 7 o'clock.
Before the time update, the logon hours worked fine.

I use samba 3.6.6 with ldap

As far as I know, it can be set from Windows only.

As far as I experienced, this can be set but does not work
at Samba 3.0.7 and Samba 3.2.5.

[Samba] Logon hours allowed

2011-01-25 Thread Joe Tseng

Could someone be kind enough to clue me in as to how to set "Logon hours
allowed?" I've only found one instance of even referencing this topic:

http://www.webservertalk.com/message413870.html

And even this guy got no answers. This is my workstation output:

Nope, not from what I can see in the code. Standard reply:
Feel free to submit a patch :-)

Hallo,

how and where can I set the "Logon hours" (shown with "pdbedit") to
another value as "..."?

I can work as (Linux) root. I need this option for some users.

[Samba] Logon Hours problems

2005-01-25 Thread David Wilson
More information on my problem below.
It seems that users that were only meant to kicked off at 21:00 were kicked off
at 19:00.
I've checked the time and timezone on the Linux server and all seems correct.
I think I've messed up something somewhere to do with Samba and time and Logon
Hours restrictions.

Please point me in the right direction.

Many thanks
David Wilson

Hi guys,
Another quick question:
I'm running Samba-3.0.9 with an LDAP backend.
User logon restrictions, in terms of allowed logon hours are set by using
NT's "User Manager.exe" which connects to the Samba controlled domain.
The restrictions appear to work OK except when there are multiple rules
for the logon hours.
.e.g
Logon restrictions work pefectly if the logon time is: 13:00-17:00, but
not when there is more than one 'rule' e.g. 13:00-14:00 and 15:00-17:00.
As soon as there is more than one rule users cannot log on and if I try
to use smbclient I get something like and error like INVALID_LOGON_HOURS.

Any ideas ?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
