we use Samba 2.2.3a on Suse Linux (Kernel 2.4.18-4GB).
ThereĀ“s the following share defined:
[av]
comment = Arbeitsvorbereitung
path = /home/group/av/samba
force user = av
browsable = no
writeable = yes
msdfs root = yes
All users can create and modify files, but only clients with win2k can
create new directorys. NT-Clients get the error no such file or
directory.
following messages are generated in the log file (on our test-server Kernel
2.4.10-4GB Samba 2.2.1a):
