Get a wig as you will be pulling your hair out to get your "Hello, World!" first printer to work 100%. ;-)
I documented my findings about printing and the annoying "Access Denied" I was experiencing in this doc. It assumes you desire to use CUPS in RAW mode and Windows drivers on the clients to produce the printer-read data.
