[Samba] Share files between Linux and macintosh

Dear all,
In my office i have 2 file server with windows 2000 system and i have 5
clients that using macintosh (os9), i want to replace file server (w2000)
with Linux file server.

Can anybody tell me how to share files between Linux and macintosh (os9).

To a certain extent it depends on the version of Mac OS. Pre OS X you 
need AFP support on the server or to add SMB client support on the 
Mac, with OS X you can still add AFP support to the server or use the 
built in SMB client.

For Linux AFP support see Netatalk. Note that this stores files 
differently to how OS X does it via SMB, for an alternative that does 
it the same way see Baltra.

For SMB support for pre OS X Macs, see Dave (commercial from Thursby 
Systems ?).

OS X has built in SMB client so can talk directly to an SMB server (Samba).
You could also consider NFS, but unless you have good control over 
the clients it is insecure.
