I think the most recent versions are. Depends upon the underlying system. LPR is a different system...I've sort of forgotten how to make it work with smb shared printer but if, as you said, "EVERYONE" is allowed to print on the windows shared printer, samba isn't really involved in the printing. In this case, the Windows XP computer. Hello all! I'm russian, so sorry for my english... :) I have LAN. LAN consist of one Winxp with shared printer (no password, common access), and one linux slackware 9.1. I need print from linux to shared printer of winxp. Printer of winxp connected by USB. I can't print!
