Oh, I have found it... I now have such an entry... but, I assume for this to work, I would need to be able to connect a share as user 'root'. And this does not work. Could it be, that I would have to add a 'root' on the ADS this Samba Server is member of? -- Benoît Panizzon, [EMAIL PROTECTED] ImproWare AG, UNIXSP ISP Phone: +41 61 826 93 00 Zurlindenstrasse 29Fax: +41 61 826 93 01 CH-4133 Pratteln Net: http://www.imp.ch/ -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba

[Samba] winbind: How to map windows admin-user to Linux root ?
Hi, Is there any way that I can map window AD admin-user to Linux root user (uid=gid=0) ? I noticed that windows Active-Directory users can use idmap [uid-range] to map to Linux users, but the idmap uid-range doesn't include '0'. e.g. idmap uid = 1-2 idmap gid = 1-2 Thanks!
