Hello,

this is what i found out:

disabling these paramters made the folders visible again:

#   hide unreadable = yes
#   hide special files = yes

so the question ist, who the behaviour has been changed then

after no answer has been send, i've read a little bit around and searched 
the docs and found this hints, where i think this could be the origin of

It also included a change
 in behavior of winbindd. Please refer to the man page for smb.conf
