Try the folowing, remove the pc from the domain.
logon localy with administrator and try again.
Does not work ? do the folowing.
Start - Run, type GPEDIT.MSC (enter)
In the screen you see, klik with right on local computer on the top
en get the properties.
Here disable both settings for policies.
type Start-run : GPUPDATE ( enter )
and try again.
!!! DO NOT RENAME COMPUTERS WHEN IN DOMAIN
!!! IT ALWAYS GIVES PROBLEMS !!!

This is a repeat post . I am waiting to hear from someone
about this issue.
please help me resolving this issue.
I have samba PDC configured.
I am unable to change the computer name for any computer .
All clients
are windows XP pro .
It says access denied. Although i use the same Administrator
username
and password which i used to join these computers to samba domain. I
will really appreciate if some can help me in this .
