I am planning to still keep the Samba CVS tree up to date (at least once a week) for at least the patches against 2.4 kernels. Not sure whether I want to make the CVS version continue to be patchable against 2.5 since it is getting hard to maintain a common 2.4/2.5 version (with 2.4 vs. 2.5 ifdefs) in CVS. Since the Linux kernel maintainers pull from bitkeeper I need to keep that up to date for the 2.5 version at least. If someone wants me to keep a 2.5 tree up to date in CVS I can do that but would rather focus on the 2.4 in CVS. Why is the password being cli_push_string()ed twice, and why is it any different to any other string in Samba (which gets made unicode automaticly as required).
