Am I wrong? Well, the backend may work with other hand scanners. It uses the lhii interface so if you have a driver for the scanner prividing such an interface it may work. It once worked for the CG-6000 so that's the one that's listed. The source code re-appeared only recently and was not available on the WWW for years so testers are welcome. Bye, Henning

Let me just say the training is for those who have ZERO knowledge about scanner development in Linux and need to delivery a scanner driver (these people are experienced Linux programmers, but not in SANE). The timeframe of the training is still subject to the availability of the trainer. I tested it here, works for me. It's available as a patch to SANE 1.0.13. Due to the code freeze, I cannot submit it at the moment, so it will be available from 1.0.13.CVS on. A patch against SANE 1.0.13 is available from http://penguin-breeder.org/sane/mustek_pp/download/ (I'll update the docs tommorow) This patch also includes support for auto probing the port for both CCD & CIS scanners. Please test and report (if any) the bugs :) Missing (ccd) parport scanners are now 600 dpi ones, those with ASIC 1505 and A3EP...
