Hi Allan and All,
At last I had time to reproduce the bug in scanimage. I've scanned an A5
paper in portrait. The command I've used is scanimage --batch --source
'ADF Front' --mode 'Gray' --resolution 200 --page-width 148.5
--page-height 210 -x 148.5 -y 210
The scanned image as the result of the command is attached (Output was
pnm but I converted it). I have not modified the driver further. It's
the code that I compiled for my initial tests.
Hope this helps. I'll do my best to assist further.
Best Regards,
Hakan Bayindir

Right side of the pages are cropped and mirrored to left side. Mirrored
part
was approximately 1cm. Gap between mirrored part and actual left margin was
also ~1cm.
This sounds like a bug- please attempt to reproduce this with
scanimage, and send me the command you use, and the image.
In the DR-3010 section of init_model, you should try to remove the
fixed_width setting, and the valid_y setting. It is possible that your
scanner does not need those, they were copied from the DR-2510
section.
Ah, I misspoke- I meant to say valid_x.
