Re: [sane-devel] canon mx495 ADF not working
Hello Jean, Have you found a solution? I have exactly the same problem. ScanGear have no problems to scan using the ADF, but it lacks of essential functions. Does the device (usb cam) worh with other programs after taking an image with sane first? -- Regards, Torfinn -- sane-devel mailing list: sane-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/sane-devel Unsubscribe: Send mail with subject "unsubscribe your_password" to sane-devel-requ...@lists.alioth.debian.org
Re: [sane-devel] Mustek A3 scanner on Linux Mint 18
Hi Derek, first check if your user in the group who is able to access the Scanner device. Simply, check with root user (sudo) and the sane tools if they find and list the scanner. If yes, depending on your distribution, add your user to the group which can access the device, usually the "scanner" group. Some scanner needs additional propriate drivers from the vendor, in this case Mustek, to work correctly. VueScan is a possibility. Not free software (neither speech nor beer) but has Linux support for many scanners.
