The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a short term
(approx. 12 month) contractor to provide Project Management Services for
the DSDHH Service Management Project. The selected candidate must be a
results-oriented individual with a very strong work ethic and must be able
to demonstrate excellent IT Project Management, negotiation, communication
and problem-solving skills. This position will be responsible for working
with senior-level business executives, IT personnel, and business program
resources to execute project requirements and manage stakeholder
expectations.

This lead project management role will provide leadership to coordinate the
selection and later work with the selected system vendor to implement the
service tracking system for the DHHS Division of Services for the Deaf &
Hard of Hearing. This position will manage the day to day activities for

This position will manage the day-to-day activities for the project and
complete all input to the State Project Portfolio Management system
(Touchdown). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: authoring all
project management artifacts following the practices and guidelines from
the PMI’s PMBOK®; developing the detailed project budget and monitoring
expenditures; requirements definition; coordinating procurement
activities;, developing and maintaining all required State CIO and
Department project documentation; serving as an IT management liaison to
the business client; coordinating and ensuring the analysis of the business
and technical environments; supervising implementation activities; ensuring
that project plans and schedules are established and maintained; ensuring
that deliverables are completed timely and accurately; conducting formal
presentations, coordinating with all project stakeholders; and ensuring

Location: New York City

Duration: This is 11 months contract with extension for another 12 months



Our direct client is seeking a Peoplesoft Trainer for the development of a
Train the Trainer program for end user training; this training will prepare
staff for the daily use of the PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP) program with the implementation of various PeopleSoft modules in the
Finance and the Supply Chain Divisions.  This is 11 months contract with
extension for another 12 months.

PeopleSoft Train-the Trainer. There are three positions are: Training Lead
(1) and Training Developer (2). The Peoplesoft ERP system will replace
existing financial systems that are over 30 years old to provide one
integrated system with multiple modules for Finance, Supply Chain, and
Human Resources.  As a result, everyone affected by the impending
technological and business transformation must be trained.
The ERP implementation program is a multi-year project which will
incorporate the following changes:

1. Standardization of practices and processes
2. Updated policies and procedures to support “Best Practices”
3. Automated standardized reporting

*The ideal candidates/firm will possess experience in PeopleSoft train the
trainer for end user training, planning and program development. Responders
must have at least three years of experience in developing PeopleSoft end
user training with healthcare integrated delivery network systems. *

*Engagement Location, Hours and Duration:*
The engagement will take place at our NYC location. Consultant during this
engagement is expected to travel 10% within the 5 boroughs of NYC. This is
a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours

*Principal Duties and Responsibilities*

*Training Lead (1):*

− Conducts training related assessments
− Defines the training approach/strategy and curriculum
− Establishes courseware content and standards for instructor-led training,
web-based training, and related electronic performance support
− Provides coordination and assistance for training deployment processes
and activities, including training technologies and tools
− Drives and assists with training logistics and administration, trainer
preparation and the train-the-trainer program
− Establishes the training (system) environment approach and guides data
population and refresh activities
− Establishes the training program evaluation processes and supports

*Training Developer (2):*

− Executes the development of components of the end-user courseware for
instructor-led training and web-based training including course outlines,
storyboards, participant guides work instructions and simulations through

− Responsible for populating the training (system) environment to support
hands-on exercises

*Qualifications / Required Skill:*

   - Responder must have completed Train the Trainer for end users design
   and training in at least 3 healthcare integrated delivery network systems.
   Please provide experience details and past clients.
   - At least one Healthcare client must have occurred within the last two
   years. Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or a post-baccalaureate
   certificate and 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree and 2 years of
   experience, or a Doctoral degree

We really need someone who is strong in CSS and HTML. The position will
sometimes modify existing JavaScript, but focuses mostly on the CSS and
HTML structure. Which tends to be different from many front end developer
positions out there. We work with a team of developers who are responsible
for the backend and JavaScript code, so our team has to be the experts in
the CSS and HTML. Our best candidates seem to have a background in design
so they tend to pay more attention to design detail. Because our
environments are extremely large with a lot of shared code, we highly value
someone who can problem solve and handle a variety of unknown and
constantly changing situations.





Job Description:



The front-end web developer is responsible for working with designers,
information architects and a team of developers to define HTML markup and
create custom CSS stylesheets for complex, information-rich web and mobile
applications. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about
the CSS and HTML, can follow coding standards already in place but wants to
stay up-to-date on technology to help improve the code base, and is not
afraid of new challenges.



*Experience*

· Associate  degree in a technology-related field required
(Bachelor’s degree preferred)

· Knowledge of web standards and accessibility (W3C and s508)

· Minimum 2+ years experience developing front-end web applications

· Portfolio of work



*Required Knowledge and Skills*

· Ability to create production-quality CSS, SASS, and HTML for web
applications with support for mobile and tablet devices.  Knowledge of
JavaScript a plus.

· Knowledge of web standards, accessibility, CSS-driven layouts and
manipulating the DOM

· Implement browser-independent designs and cross-browser issues
(IE, Firefox, Safari etc) on all platforms

· Good eye for aesthetics and detail; can faithfully convert
Photoshop design specifications into a functional, standards-compliant
website

*Familiar with:*

· Modular CSS, SASS mixins and functions

· Developing for mobile and tablet devices


   - Understanding of AJAX and jQuery (other JS libraries like backbone.js,
   and angular JS) is a plus
   - Ability to follow technical specifications and production processes
   - Ability to adjust graphics and create / optimize graphic assets as
   needed to complete designs
   - Ability to work with source/version control software
   - CSS image sprites

Project Description:

This project is to design and build a proxy application in Amazon Web
Services platform for Thomson Reuters applications to interface with the
Amazon Alexa speech APIs.

Contractor Role:

This role involves designing and building an AWS-hosted application in
collaboration with product owners and technology architects.Must be able to
work independently as a consultant and developer, investigating and
implementing new technologies, and be able to clearly communicate status
and roadblocks.

Required Skills:
Minimum of 8 years software engineering experience including:
• At least one (production) project deployed to AWS and maintained for 6
months
• 6 months of Scala Development experience on workplace projects
• Experience building JSON REST APIs
• Using a variety of open source software and tools

Experience preferred including one or more of the following:
• Experience with Postgres
• Experience with Kibana
• Experience with Docker

We are currently looking for a Microsoft BI Architect who has the following
experience:

- Experienced across all SQL Server components including SQL DB, SSIS,
SSAS, SSRS.

- *Really strong in SSAS Multi-dimensional and MDX.* Ideally, I’d like to
see someone who has written a lot of complex MDX reports and scripts in
SSAS.

- Experienced designing OLAP cubes.

- Must be able to identify code and  data model enhancements and make
recommendations.

- Familiarity with the insurance industry or financial services.

- Familiar with DMX and with data mining in SSAS is a plus.
