Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component & assembly
testing of all application code owned by the Application Team. Programmers
typically are involved in maintenance (including production support),
enhancement & development work.


GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The contractor will provide services to maintain the Bureau’s current
information systems and databases. Access to all Project/Documentation File
materials must be available to BIS-DEA-FSSU personnel and their agents at
any and all times. All documentation must be stored at a BIS-DEA-FSSU
specified location. The contractor must:

1. Follow DPW standard processes and procedures.
2. Maintenance and new development initiatives must be approved by BIS and
Program Office via the Change Control Board.
3. Provide technical support for change control assessments (i.e., Initial
software change request, level of effort, risk/impact and mitigation
strategies assessments, and associated work packages).
4. Coordinate with Program Office and BIS staff to test, validate, and
ensure proper functionality and operational reliability of the systems
platform (software & hardware) as per the approved software change requests

strategies as stated in the Software Configuration Management plan.
6. Provide defect corrections as approved by BIS-DEA-FYSSU staff and detail

Description of Assignment:
Technical support on business applications which are based on the mentioned

• Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products
• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and

• Implement and maintain database security
• Proactively monitoring database performance and come up with
suggestions
• Preventive maintenance
• Trouble Shooting production Issues.
• Setup and maintain documentation and standards
• Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required
• Do general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to
development teams
• Participate in Disk layout and Disk capacity planning
• Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support
• Set up and monitoring of data replication
• Help Monitoring and maintenance of standby databases
• Help design and develop tools for Database Services team
• Perform Load testing.
• Install, configure and setup Database and Real Application
Cluster.
• Design and Deploy the database for the specific requirements
• Do Data migration independently
• Excellent in OLTP Performance tuning
• Lead Components of Projects/tasks
• Identify Bottle necks and provide solutions

local or willing to travel for an interview night at the client site located

Project overview:  Executing a website performance tuning initiative across
all of their webstores.



*Responsibilities:*

   - Collaborate with Information Architects and Project Leads in the
   development of Information Architecture Design Documentation for new site
   builds.
   - Apply new store designs for new partners to existing webstore
   functionality.
   - Execute on small projects for maintenance of current webstores.
   - Assist in production escalation and problem resolution.
   - Act as technical advisor for Graphic Designers, Information Architects,
   and Marketing teams in assessing proposed project feasibility given current
   webstore functionality.
   - Function independently with project assignments and with minimal
   supervision.
   - Exhibit a process-oriented mindset



*Qualifications:*

   - 3+ years demonstrated development experience with HTML, CSS, JSP, and
   JavaScript.
   - 1-2 years experience with XML.

   - Understanding of browser capabilities and design constraints on the
