As web developer : the client is focusing on building *web application, UI designing , Front end application development * *Overview:* The Web Lead Developer reports to the Director of Software Engineering within the Services Team and essentially bridges the gap between the Creative and Engineering teams. They work closely with Graphic Designers, Information Architects, Marketing teams, and Project Management teams to maintain or enhance existing client webstores, as well build new client webstores . The primary focus of the Web Lead Developer is the Presentation Layer that supports GSI’s client webstores, utilizing technologies such as HTML/XHTML/ISML, CSS/CSS2, Tiles, JSP and JavaScript. Web Lead Developers are involved in all phases of a project including: planning, reviewing specifications, documentation, scheduling, development, testing and ongoing support. It doesn’t matter whether they Have Informatica, Datastage, Abinitio or Cognos as long as they are strong in Data modeling Techniques *Data warehousing with OLAP Modeling * 5 Positions open Location : Iowa Durations : 6 plus months They will be for the following: - Data Modeling/Mapping/Requirements/Analysis – 2 - Data Quality (does not need mainframe, needs SQL and data analysis skills and preferably Teradata) – 1 - Metadata – 1 - When Bryan looks at resumes - - he uses five categories to 'grade them' and then pulls the 8, 9 and 10's from the stack to formally interview. - He is looking for *OLAP MODELING*. *He has found that contractors heavy in development work usually don't work well*. His team models first and never really writes code...so... *he's looking for someone very strong in modeling*. *Datawarehousing *background is very helpful because they take info from several sources and combine into one.* PowerDesigner* is their modeling tool - and he screens for this on resumes. He also likes when people have *gathered data requirements* and have *source-to-data mapping*. - Once in the interview - he'll be looking for those above skills - but also be looking for extremely solid *communication *skills.
