This position entails all aspects of database design, performance monitoring-tuning, backup-recovery, scripting, software installation and upgrades, troubleshooting, and proactively maintaining production databases. Team with Applications support, production support, Hardware, Operating System and Network engineers toward maximizing availability in current and planned systems. Provide backup, restore and replication support for production databases. Administer database users and database security in accordance with mandatory enterprise wide guidelines. Create and maintain documentation of all production policies, procedures, server configurations, error logs, maintenance records and product troubleshooting instructions. Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate issues that affect the systems, servers and database related products. *Required Skills:* Individual needs to have strong verbal and written communication skills Provide technical documentation, automation scripting, installation, monitoring, and trouble-shooting across a large enterprise environment Ability to work in global environment across time zones Database server and application sizing and capacity planning Database server and application tuning for performance and scalability Performance testing experience Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) In-Depth understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery requirements and solutions In-Depth understanding of Oracle RAC (11g strongly preferred with 12c familiarity), Oracle Dataguard & Dataguard broker Experience with RAC One Node (RON) Database and application server internals On-call support for 24x7 applications Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle Golden Gate replication *Desired Skills :* Experience with other RDMS platforms namely DB2, SQL Server, or Informix Project management and oversight Data modeling (both logical and physical) Familiarity with Exadata *Avisheak Singh* Sr. Staffing Recruiter Consulting Knights, Inc, Princeton, NJ.
