This is with UHG, Charleston, WV. Client is looking for somebody local or nearer to WV. HEALTHCARE experience is a mandatory. * *MUST HAVE: Cognos reporting tool developer experience. Healthcare knowledge a plus.* *TOP REQUIREMENTS:* *a. Strong skill set working with the Cognos tool as well as administration / set up of Cognos server.* *b. Strong SQL – Store Procedures.* *c. Unix/Linux to view logs, execute batch jobs, execute scripts to migrate from lower environments to higher environments.* Need Report Development Resources with the following experience:* ** Two (2) years of system analysis and programming experience on large scale systems, including working directly with customers to define their needs and product outputs satisfying those needs in a pre-determined time frame* ** Two (2) years of Cognos experience developing reports and dashboards, as well as knowledge of data warehousing concepts including dimensional data modeling;* ** Two (2) years of combined or separate experience with J2EE, COBOL, and/or DB2 programming;* ** One (1) year of experience working with files and Linux subsystems* These resources will be supporting the West Virginia engagement* Local resource required. We can substitute experience on ETL platforms such as Informatica or Data Stage for OWB experience but the person must have a strong PL/SQL background for us to consider Load staging tables from mainframe flat file extracts Create Mappings and Transformation logic for data loads to dimensional models Hands on experience creating materialized views in Oracle Candidate will be working as a sole developer with help from team. However, we DO NOT have a big Data Warehouse team here so the candidate should have the potential to work solo and get up to speed. This is NOT a leadership position/role. It is an Analyst/Developer role. Candidate will be working extensively on OWB, PL/SQL. Oracle and Cognos. We can substitute experience on ETL platforms such as Informatica or Data Stage for OWB experience but the person must have a strong PL/SQL background for us to consider.
