Client seeks an experienced Software Engineer to perform application and system development, troubleshoot IT questions, generate reports and manage IT training needs. ** *Specific Responsibilities:* - Plan, develop, test, and document computer programs. - Evaluate user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities. - Write manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures. - Assist users in solving operating problems as well as analyze, review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency. - Identify training needs and develop training modules to meet business needs. - Programming in Navision and/or .NET; Create complex Crystal Reports and SQL Queries. Required Skills - Knowledge and exposure to C#, ASP.NET or another object oriented language. - Familiarity with Microsoft Windows environment - Excellent Computer skills, particularly Excel. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - XML, Ajax, .Net, ASP, SQL, HTML. - Familiarity with Financial ERP systems such as MS Navision, Great Plains, Solomon, PeopleSoft or SAP is preferred but not required. - .net 3.5, Microsoft SQL 2008. - Reporting package such as Crystal Reports. - Understanding of consumer facing web sites. - Agile methodology. Required Experience - A Bachelor’s degree is required in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Systems. - At least 4 years experience in application and system development.
