JOB DESCRIPTION: The client is looking for consultant to fill the role of Information Technology Analyst for their search engine. This analyst will support changes to search engine. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with content management and metadata, and familiarity with search engines. The candidate will be responsible for working with cross functional departments to gather requirements, write test cases, develop detailed requirements document, and work with QA to ensure final product is per specifications. REQUIRED SKILLS: a.. Outstanding analytical and communication skills. b.. Experience with software lifecycle c.. Knowledge of FAST Search engine is a plus. d.. Familiarity with web services and API is strongly preferred e.. Familiarity with HTML and XML is strongly preferred. f.. Familiarity with metadata is strongly preferred g.. Basic knowledge of the structure and functionality of web search and directory services. h.. An understanding of web search strategies and techniques. i.. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. j.. Self motivated. k.. Detail oriented. l.. Demonstrated ability to work and complete projects independently. m.. Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
