*Job Description*:
The Senior DataStage Developer will be involved in the full-development
life cycle implementation/deployment from translating functional/technical
specifications into initial job designs, prototyping and unit-level testing
to full integration implementation and deployment across multiple
environments company wide. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to
join a newly established ETL development team responsible with the firm’s
first enterprise-wide InfoSphere DataStage implementation.

*Technical Skills*:
10+ year’s designing/developing/implementing DataStage/QualityStage
routines, job sequences, jobs
Exceptional knowledge/practical experience implementing reusable job
architectures
Extensive DataStage server/job performance monitoring, server tuning
experience
Proven track record implementing operational auditing/exception reporting
and restart frameworks
Extensive experience with the design/development/implementation/reporting
of metadata, DBMS constraints and impact analysis
Design/develop dynamic complex flat file consumption/mapping methodologies
Familiar with back-end RDBMS (Sybase and or DB2 preferred) systems and
developing SQL query/stored procedures encompassing source-system scoping ,
extraction and integration with DataStage Datasets/Sybase databases.
Lead DataStage principle encompassing Transformation, Look Up, Change
Capture and Pivot Enterprise stages
Lead QualityStage principle to include standardization, validation, data
rules and cleansing
Develop HP/AIX Unix scripts to decrypt/decompress source files and script
dsjobs
Extensive experience integrating parameter sets/parameters, environment
variables
Design error-level/exception handling and debugging methodologies, data
cleansing and transformation expressions to account for both in and out-of
scope data.
Interface with source files utilizing complex flat/sequential files,
unstructured data, data/file sets with integration with DBMS systems
utilizing Database connectors to include ODBC, DB2 and SYBASE ASE stages
