Herndon, VA
12+ month contract

Role
Design and Develop prototypes/applications/services utilizing
Java/J2EE/TIBCO Business Works to support and streamline our business
applications.
Support several key processes as well as their associated infrastructure
components and services such as service mediation, Enterprise Service Bus
(ESB), TIBCO infrastructure, Configuration Management & deployment,
Monitoring/Management etc.
Minimum Experience
8 or more years' experience in Java development, concurrency, middleware,
distributed computing and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Proven history of successful interaction with internal customers and/or
enterprise IT department
Strong working knowledge of modern Java-related/SOA-related frameworks and
ability to develop design patterns for specific technical
problems/stereotypes
Strong working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and
associated concepts such as XML Schemas, WS specifications, SOAP, Service
Mediation/ESB, Policy Management, Governance, Messaging, etc…
6 -7 years of hands-on development experience with TIBCO EMS, Business
Works and Hawk
Strong communication and presentation skills

Developer III Specialized performs high complexity (i.e. system level
applications) analysis, design, development and unit testing of software
applications from user requirements and design documents. The candidate
also resolves defects encountered during various testing cycles.

*Key Job Functions - *

• Candidate will design, develop, and deliver full production applications
based on requirements analysis and prototype applications.
• Initial projects will be most concerned with data, interfaces, and
integration. Hence, the candidate must understand the concepts of
integration, messaging, relational databases, ETL and workflows. Analytical
skills and related experience is valuable.
• Candidate should be flexible enough to work on more than one project at
the same time. Should have proven ability to deliver projects on time.


*Qualifications - *

• You should have significant experience across a variety of IT projects or
problem-areas demonstrating depth of knowledge and experience solving
problems in IT.
o Includes special emphasis on experience with integration projects
involving varying technologies, platforms, and software development
processes.
• You should have a strong understanding of the TIBCO platform and the
ability to apply these tools to design, implement and support solutions
based on requirements. Additional experience with database development and
design a plus.
• Strong communication skills required, including the ability to:
o demonstrate technical leadership and mentorship to colleagues
o work with non-technical colleagues to understand and hone business
requirements.
o effectively present design and implementation approaches to colleagues
and management
• Relevant IT skills
o Strong working knowledge on TIBCO Business Works, EMS and HAWK Agent
components
o Experience with multiple simultaneous real-time feeds with interrelated
data is highly desirable
o Strong Java development skill is required.
o SQL Server development and familiarity is a plus
o Knowledge of .Net and SSIS is a plus
o Prior experience with CompassPoint, QRM, or other valuation  risk
management vendor/3rd party software integration is highly desirable.
• Minimum of five years experience in managing software development
projects using a formal development methodology (Software Development Life
Cycle) processes, change management discipline, and project management
processes.
• Prior industry experience working in Secondary Mortgage, Fixed Income
Valuation or Capital Markets environment is essential. Excellent business
knowledge in finance, risk management, and hedging activity is highly
desirable.
• Relevant business skills that are desirable
o General understanding of capital markets.
o Mortgage securities
• Management qualifications

experience related to the above qualifications
