The Board’s Technology Services (TS) is enhancing its Analytics User
Interface in the OBIEE environment. TS require qualified resources
experienced with delivering innovative user interfaces, performing
successful upgrade and tune Analytics systems.

Every quarter, the Board’s HR department presents a multi-page PDF document
to the Governors, Chief Operating Officer, Equal Employment Opportunity
Office, and Division Directors. That document has many graphs embedded and
it has Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and graphs that come directly from
OBIEE. TS is seeking professional services for automatic production of
these reports using BI Publisher or any other reporting solutions that will
provide reasonable flexibility for users to make modifications, apply
different parameters, and generate the package in an automated manner. TS
also looks for ability to schedule jobs to run on regular basis to produce
the prescribed packages at the end of every quarter or other times as
required by FRB users.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:*

   1. Compile feedback from the Pilot users and make improvement in user
   interface of the BI Analytics.
   2. Create intuitive, innovative and best of bread user interface of the
   following modules of Oracle HR Analytics that are delivered as part of the
   Oracle Business Intelligence Applications suite of solutions:

   - Workforce Deployment
  - Workforce Development
  - Workforce Effectiveness
  - Compensation
  - Payroll
  - Retention
  - Custom Absence and AWA-Telecommute
  - Custom dashboard – Executive Summary
  - Custom Dashboard  - personal dashboard


   1. Collect user requirement regarding the layout, color pattern and
   content of the dashboard.
   2. Perform unit testing of the dashboard.
   3. Support the functional test and UAT effort for the created
   dashboards.
   4. Modify the dashboard and reports and make them more intuitive, and
   easy to use
   5. Present summary information in innovative graphical infographic
   format.
   6. Provide important Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) across different
   functional areas in easy to use dashboards.
   7. Provide capability for users to select KPIs and save their own
   personalized dashboards.
   8. Provide comprehensive capability for KPI analysis following Monitor,
   Analyze, and Detail principle (MAD), with flexibility to use any standard
   dimension for cross-dimensional analysis.
   9. Provide dashboard for executive use, operational use, and analytical
   needs.
   10. Use flat design components with contemporary design, including use
   of rich visual components to supplement the standard components available
   from Oracle as part of the OBIEE suite.
   11. Create an onsite training for FRB staff on building dashboard and
   reports.

The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking an Oracle Business
Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Developer with solid experience and
knowledge in implementing enterprise level RPD’s, reports (BI Publisher,
Answers/Dashboard), and analytics. Candidate must be able to develop RPD’s,
reports, and dashboards. Candidate will be expected to migrate legacy
reporting business logic from SAP (BO/WI, Crystal Reports) and Microsoft
(SSRS). Candidate must demonstrate ability to be productive and effective
in report conversion. Candidate must be capable and committed to delivering
results on-time/on-schedule.



The Enterprise Reporting and Analytics Team is composed of 5 report
developers and a team leader. The team is migrating Microsoft SSRS reports
and SAP Business Objects (v. 4)/Crystal Reports to OBIEE (with Exalytics)
BI Publisher and Answers/Dashboards.  Over 1000+ SAP reports are currently
supported and will be assessed for retirement/replacement using OBIEE.
Approximately 30 SSRS reports also will be converted. Development will be
focused on providing ad hoc analysis to specific business authors and
rolling out reports to business consumers. Current reports utilize the
enterprise data warehouse (Oracle Exadata) and connections to SQL Server
2008/2012 and Oracle 11g/12c databases.



The team develops enterprise reports within IT applications
(internal/external) and on the web. Reports serve all facets of the
transportation enterprise from financials, programs/projects, human
resources, to federally required reporting. The team coordinates with
client, server, network, and database/data warehouse personnel to integrate
supporting IT architecture. Moving forward, ad hoc analytics/dashboards,
geospatial (Esri) integration, and Microsoft Office add-in integration will
also be implemented.



Responsibilities:

Assists in OBIEE administration, system maintenance, and upgrades

Assists in the administration and implementation of BI system/system
security

Building geospatial reports/dashboards

Builds OBIEE reports and dashboards using BI Publisher, Answers and
Dashboards

Close engagement with Enterprise Architects, Data Warehousing, Database,
and Server Administration teams in collaborative design

Configures Ad Hoc query and Reporting environments

Deliver solid, scalable, robust BI reporting/analytic solutions

Design, develop, and document OBIEE repository/metadata

Develop, implement, and maintain data cubes, loading data, dimensions,
calculating data and aggregation techniques

Developing MS Office based content using Oracle Office tools

Manage capacity and performance requirements

Models, configures and optimizes the RPD/Universes from Data Warehouse
(OLAP) and databases (OLTP)

Perform unit, system and integration testing

Prepare estimates of time for design and development

Provide design and development mentorship/cross-training with fellow team
members

Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with minimal user disruption

Working in a team environment to develop reports and/or dashboards while

*Position Functions or Responsibilities:*

· This position is responsible for supporting the development,
implementation, and maintenance of a single, scalable OBIEE 11 G structure
to support DOH/NYWIC reporting and interagency information structures.
Specifically, this position will include but will not be limited to:

· Provide technical support to BI OBIEE application delivery teams
to support development, test, QA activities and provide OBIEE 11G technical

The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking an Oracle Business
Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Developer with solid experience and
knowledge in implementing enterprise level RPD’s, reports (BI Publisher,
Answers/Dashboard), and analytics. Candidate must be able to develop RPD’s,
reports, and dashboards. Candidate will be expected to migrate legacy
reporting business logic from SAP (BO/WI, Crystal Reports) and Microsoft
(SSRS). Candidate must demonstrate ability to be productive and effective
in report conversion. Candidate must be capable and committed to delivering
results on-time/on-schedule.

The Enterprise Reporting and Analytics Team is composed of 5 report
developers and a team leader. The team is migrating Microsoft SSRS reports
and SAP Business Objects (v. 4)/Crystal Reports to OBIEE (with Exalytics)
BI Publisher and Answers/Dashboards.  Over 1000+ SAP reports are currently
supported and will be assessed for retirement/replacement using OBIEE.
Approximately 30 SSRS reports also will be converted. Development will be
focused on providing ad hoc analysis to specific business authors and
rolling out reports to business consumers. Current reports utilize the
enterprise data warehouse (Oracle Exadata) and connections to SQL Server
2008/2012 and Oracle 11g/12c databases.

The team develops enterprise reports within IT applications
(internal/external) and on the web. Reports serve all facets of the
transportation enterprise from financials, programs/projects, human
resources, to federally required reporting. The team coordinates with
client, server, network, and database/data warehouse personnel to integrate
supporting IT architecture. Moving forward, ad hoc analytics/dashboards,
geospatial (Esri) integration, and Microsoft Office add-in integration will
also be implemented.

The position end date is set for the end of the Georgia DOT fiscal year.
Georgia DOT may exercise the option to renew contracts in one year
increments. Several successful developers have continued working for
several years with contract extensions. However, Georgia DOT is under no
obligation to extend contracts and may terminate employment at any time.

transaction-intensive environment and will develop tools and reports
involving a diverse technology stack that includes WebFOCUS, Oracle PL/SQL,
JavaScript, and HTML5. The Software Engineer (BI) will be involved in all
aspects of the report development, including, gathering business
requirements, analysis, develop prototypes, data-mart design, reports
design  development, production support, and will be iteratively working
with the team to provide the desired solution.
The Software Engineer (BI) will be working with other critical TRAC
resources involved in information processing such as the EDI Team, the Data
Management Team and most importantly the IT Applications team. The Software
Engineer must be focused, hard-working and self-motivated.
The business domains involved for the reports and tools development are
Financial Planning  Analysis, Data Quality, Chassis Tracking and Data
Asset management in the intermodal transportation industry.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
•Design and prototype report UI’s.
•Implement design elements in conformance with established standards.
•Understand the needs and requirements of the Business, Financial and
Data Quality Analysts.
•Develops tools and reports that will be used on a regular basis by the
various teams in ensuring volume consistency, information completeness, and
data integrity.
•Work with existing IT development resources to leverage tools and
reports already develop and/or in use as well as migrate/re-create reports
from other platforms using WebFOCUS technology.
•Knowledge of database structures and backend programming concepts is a
plus (Oracle, PL/SQL).
•Participate in the structured testing and deployment processes in
various environments.
•Coordinate report development and testing efforts with other team
members.
•Assist in production support and troubleshooting.
•Specific experience in the intermodal or transportation industries is
a plus

• Create the metadata layers including physical, semantic and presentation
layers.
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of Data Warehousing (DWH) and ETL

Error Handling, Error logging mechanism, standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain Informatica PowerCenter solutions Version 9.0 and
9.1.

Minimum Requirements
