Hi, Client is looking for Front End Developer* - *Boston Ma. This is a 6 months contract. The Rate is DOE Our sites are already built – what this project is about is building the back end to better support them. Can we find developers that have experience: · Developing, managing or enhancing custom CMSs to support larger content sites · Developing tools and processes to manipulate and migrate content into a CMS from various sources and in various formats for publishing on the Web. · Using techniques/technologies such as perl, php, regular expressions and XML to extract meta data from content and map this data to fields in a back end database. · Building and/or extending publishing and workflow processes that site editors can use to manage, organize, edit and publish on the Web. Candidate should be strong in PHP and My SQL *Required Skillset**:* · 3 to 5 years of real-world experience developing content management applications for public-facing, high-traffic web sites; · A strong understanding of Unix-based platforms and open source technologies, including Linux, Apache, Php, Perl and PostgreSQL/MySQL · Demonstrated technical understanding of XHTML, DHTML, XML, XSL · A strong appreciation of performance and bandwidth considerations for high traffic web sites. A B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field a plus. The position requires an understanding of state of the art content management systems and processes, experience with web-based content delivery methods and back-office data storage, transformation and delivery technologies for the Web.
