*Overview:*
In the consulting industry, the consultant works on a variety of roles and
projects. The consultant provides support to managers on a team, while
gaining a broader skill set in preparation for added responsibility and
possibly promotion.
Due to the nature of the consulting industry, employees at all levels are
required to travel to the client site up to 100% of the work week. A high
level of flexibility is necessary for analysts, consultants, and managers
alike.
*Responsibilities*:
- Provides advanced-level development skills to client engagements
- Provides strong testing, debugging, and documentation skills
- Independently manages individual time and tasks
- Demonstrates proficiency with at least one development tool /
technology
- Independently manage mid-sized development team to work on individual
modules
- Understands and manages SDLC for development projects
- Manages on-shore and or offshore team members task activities and
assignments
*Qualifications*:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3 to 7 years of experience in systems integration and development,
package implementation, and/or interactive design
- Demonstrate knowledge of multiple technology platforms/languages: J2EE
/JEE, EJB, JSP, Websphere, Weblogic, HTML, DHTML, XML, SOAP, JavaScript, MVC
patterns, JavaScript, Java, PL/SQL, C/C++, RDBMS, CORBA, .NET, COM / DCOM
- Demonstrated ability to design and familiarity with UML tools
- Demonstrated ability to define, create, and complete a technical task
with minimal guidance
- 3 to 7 years of experience in full Software Development Lifecycle
processes and methods
- Demonstrated ability to thoroughly unit test all work and deliver an
error-free technology component to the team
- Demonstrate ability to articulate a vision of the total solution
- Demonstrate a high level of written and oral communication in the
English language
- Ability to meet deadlines in high-pressure environments
- Demonstrates poise, confidence and professional maturity to interface
with senior-level executives in a clear and concise manner
*Preferences:*
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or
related field
- *Certifications, Licenses a plus*
- Software package expertise a plus (Sharepoint, IBM Websphere , BEA
Weblogic, SAP, Oracle, Mercury Testing tools, Work Flow tools, OSS BSS
systems )
