Position : Java Web Developer
Location : Madison, WI
Duration : 6+ Months
Job Description:
This position involves working on several Java web applications. The
candidate is expected to create standards-compliant templates for an
internal rich internet application based on design specifications.
Responsibilities:
Implement designs defined for internal and external applications
using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Ajax
Troubleshoot CSS and JavaScript issues
Develop a style guide for implementing the new design
Follow and promote UI/UX best practices and current web standards
Take initiative to research and learn new technologies
Work as a team member on a project team, understanding how a team
operates and what is expected of the various roles on the project
Qualifications:
4+ Yrs in Expert knowledge of hand-written HTML/CSS for complex
web sites and/or applications
Expert knowledge of cross-browser coding (with emphasis on IE 7+,
FF).
4+ Yrs in Expert knowledge of Ajax, JavaScript
Experience developing accessible web sites
Excellent organization, analytical, and communication skills
Knowledge of Eclipse, JSP, Dojo, Spring JavaScript, and SVN is
helpful, but not required. The applications have a Java back-end and
are implemented using spring,
Hibernate, Oracle, and Tomcat.
Candidates will be asked to submit examples of websites or
applications that they’ve recently coded.
