*Location Chicago, IL * GENERAL FUNCTION: This Quality Assurance Position requires a candidate with substantial technical knowledge in web services, SQL and QTP Automation. The candidate is required to have excellent knowledge of industry best practices. The Senior QA Engineer will be expected to test and support complex, web-based commercial applications within a Windows 2008 / SQL 2008 / IIS 7 environment. A high degree of experience and knowledge related to database testing, processing, data mining and validation is also desirable - any familiarity with X-Query will be a huge plus. The ideal candidate will have strong familiarity working with virtual server and PC environments. Excellent communication and collaborative skills are a must. This position requires a self-starter who is able to self-manage based on what the project team and test team identifies as priorities and flexible enough to succeed in a dynamically changing workscape. The individual must be comfortable in working in a team-focused, collaborative environment and participate in all tasks relating to test creation, automation, implementation and documentation.
