You will be responsible for working closely with the business product owners to understand requirements and advise on technical solutions and feasibility. Will work closely with the agile development teams to design, build and delivery solutions to production. Will be the technical expert on a project/release team; responsible for the technical success of a project or group of projects. Will have experience with Linux and Open Source tools for software development, Portal technologies, particularly WebSphere Portal, and migration of traditional J2EE web sites to a Portal/SOA based architecture. Websphere Portal Architect Plano, TX 3+ Months IBM Websphere Portal Architect (a doer who can also explain/teach the client) Demonstrated experience in helping clients move from one portal platform to IBM Websphere Portal platform Need to know how to do it, hurdles/pitfalls, etc. Will work with one of our senior people too. The portal architect will focus on using the client's "supplier registration" component from their existing .Net portal to the Websphere Portal; we think that involves developing a portlet that sits on Websphere but still leverages the existing .Net registration app/DB. It's initially a 14-week effort (2-week proof of concept, 10 weeks to develop something, 2 weeks to create/define the framework for repeating this on a broader scale.
