Description - Designs, develops, implements, and maintains complex

Position requires 3 days of work/week minimum at the above facility, while
the other 2 days/week can be worked remotely.
Note: Resources must be available to work onsite at a client facility in
San Mateo, CA.
Under general direction, have duties of instructing, directing, and
checking the work of other project engineers. Responsible for developing
strategies for technical IT infrastructures and the completion of assigned
engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. Leads a
group of engineers, analysts, and/or technicians assigned for the duration
of a project or may function as ongoing lead within a group of engineers
associated with one or more technical areas within the telecom function
(such as, but not limited to, network design, engineering, implementation,
or operations/user support). Does not have formal supervisory
responsibilities, although may provide input.
Description:
Project objectives: Support Client Network and Compute Technologies (NCT)
staff in meeting requirements and deliverables related to SaaS deployments
in vendor managed Cloud environments or migration projects from on-prem to
Cloud environments. Requirements:

   - 10 years experience in the deployment, configuration, and management
   of Cloud services. Cloud focus currently is Azure and Google Cloud Platform
   but could include work within Amazon Web Services. NCT is responsible for
   ensuring the success of infrastructure and operations needs for USPS and
   its hosting options: On-Prem, Postal Clouds, and Vendor Clouds (SaaS).
   - Knowledge of industry best practices for Cloud, maximizing efficiency
   of cloud resources, and general knowledge sharing of cloud expertise with
   NCT Cloud Staff
   - 10 years experience with Cloud migrations from on-prem environments to
   Cloud environments or in deploying SaaS services in vendor Clouds. Also
   assist with operationalizing deployments and support of Cloud services for
   NCT Operations. This will include standardizing and automating processes
   and workflows, creating documentation/knowledge articles, and overall
   assisting Operations staff who have limited experience in Cloud.
   - Excellent written and oral presentation to high level USPS CIO
   management on status of current efforts

   - 10 years experience deploying and operating services on a public cloud
   framework.
   - Familiar with service designing and pricing in the context of
   cloud-based solutions.
